Terms of Service

Last updated: March 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Latqo platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Acceptable Use Policy. Together, these documents form the complete agreement between you and Latqo governing your use of the platform. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

Latqo reserves the right to update or revise these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notification. Continuing to use the Service after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

2. What Latqo Is

Latqo is a SaaS marketplace platform that connects individuals and businesses seeking services ("Clients") with independent service professionals ("Providers"). Clients can browse provider listings, contact providers directly through their profiles, or submit quote requests to find the right person for their needs. Providers can be discovered through their listings, contacted directly by interested clients, and can also respond to quote requests — giving them multiple ways to connect with potential customers and grow their business.

Latqo's role is limited to facilitating discovery, quoting, and communication between the two parties. Latqo is not a party to any service agreement between a Client and a Provider. We do not employ, supervise, or control Providers in any way. Providers are independent contractors who are solely responsible for the quality, safety, legality, and delivery of the services they offer.

Latqo does not process payments between Clients and Providers, does not hold funds, and is not the merchant of record for any services that Providers perform. All payments for actual services are arranged and completed directly between the Client and the Provider, outside of Latqo.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of the platform, you need to register for an account. When you do, you are responsible for providing accurate, current, and complete information and for keeping that information up to date. You must keep your login credentials confidential and must not share them with anyone else. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorised it.

If you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation, contact us immediately. Accounts must be created by real individuals — automated account creation by scripts or bots is not permitted. You must be at least 18 years old to register.

4. Clients

As a Client, you use Latqo to find service providers and request quotes for work you need done. You are responsible for describing your requirements honestly and accurately so that Providers can give you a meaningful quote. Once you engage a Provider, you agree to communicate with them professionally and in good faith.

Any payment for services you commission is agreed directly with your chosen Provider and takes place entirely outside of Latqo. Latqo has no involvement in that transaction. Clients do not pay platform fees and are never asked to enter payment details on Latqo.

You are solely responsible for your decision to engage any Provider. Latqo provides a platform for discovery and quoting — we do not vet, endorse, employ, or guarantee any Provider listed on the platform. Before hiring a Provider, we encourage you to review their profile, ratings, and previous reviews, ask for any relevant credentials or licences, and satisfy yourself that they are suitable for your needs. Latqo will not be held responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or outcome of any services performed by a Provider you choose to hire.

If you encounter an ad or listing that you believe is illegal, fraudulent, or harmful, please report it through the support section of the app. See our Acceptable Use Policy for full details on what is and is not permitted on the platform.

You must not misuse the quoting or communication features — for example, by submitting fake requests, using the platform to harvest Provider contact details, or generating bulk leads for off-platform distribution.

5. Providers

As a Provider, you are a business or individual offering services through the Latqo platform. You agree to keep your profile and registration information accurate and up to date, including your full name, phone number, email address, service category, and business or service address.

You must only offer services you are qualified and legally permitted to perform. Where your trade requires licences, certifications, or permits, it is your responsibility to hold and maintain them. You agree to respond to quote requests professionally, deliver services to the standard described in your quote, and carry appropriate insurance for the work you do.

You must not misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or services. Latqo may review your profile and listings at any time and may suspend or remove content that appears misleading, fraudulent, or in violation of our policies.

6. Fees, Subscriptions, and Billing

Clients do not pay any fees on Latqo. All platform fees are paid by Providers only. There are three types of Provider fees.

Provider subscriptions

Subscriptions give Providers access to premium platform features on a recurring monthly basis. By subscribing, you authorise Latqo (via its payment processor) to charge your payment method automatically at the start of each billing period. Subscriptions continue until you cancel. Cancelling before your renewal date stops future charges; it does not entitle you to a refund of charges already processed.

If a renewal payment fails, your account enters a 7-day grace period during which you can update your payment method. If payment is not resolved within those 7 days, your account is automatically downgraded to the free access tier.

Sponsored ad listings

Sponsored ads are flat-fee placements that boost your visibility on the platform for a selected duration of 3, 7, 14, or 30 days. Auto-renew is off by default — your sponsored ad expires at the end of its duration with no further charge. If you choose to enable auto-renew, the sponsorship will renew automatically for the same duration at the same flat fee until you turn it off.

Account setup fee (R500, optional)

Providers who prefer to have Latqo create and configure their account on their behalf can request a done-for-you setup for a one-time fee of R500. This fee does not recur and is separate from any subscription.

For full details on when refunds are available and how cancellation works, please read our Refund Policy.

7. Acceptable Use

All users of Latqo must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy, which sets out what is and is not permitted on the platform. This includes a full list of prohibited service categories and prohibited conduct.

At a minimum, you agree not to use Latqo for any unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or deceptive purpose. You must not harass or abuse other users, post false or misleading content, impersonate another person or business, create multiple accounts to circumvent rules, or attempt to disrupt or exploit the platform technically. Scraping platform content without written permission is also prohibited.

8. Reviews and Ratings

Latqo allows Clients to leave ratings and reviews for Providers they have engaged with. Reviews must be honest, based on genuine first-hand experience, and free from offensive or abusive language. Latqo reserves the right to remove any review that appears fraudulent, manipulated, or in violation of these standards.

Providers may not offer incentives — including discounts, gifts, or any other consideration — in exchange for positive reviews. Doing so is a violation of these Terms and may result in enforcement action against your account.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, software, and technology on the Latqo platform is owned by or licensed to Latqo and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without express written consent from Latqo.

By submitting content to Latqo — such as profile information, photos, descriptions, or reviews — you grant Latqo a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the operation of the Service. You retain ownership of content you submit.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Latqo and its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service or from services provided by Providers.

Latqo is a marketplace platform only. We do not employ, supervise, endorse, or guarantee any Provider on the platform. We do not verify the qualifications, licences, insurance, or identity of Providers beyond the registration information they supply. The decision to hire a Provider is made entirely by the Client, at their own risk. Latqo will not be held accountable for any injury, loss, damage, poor workmanship, fraud, or dispute arising from a service engagement between a Client and a Provider.

Because all service payments occur outside of Latqo, we have no responsibility or liability in connection with those transactions. Latqo does not process, hold, or have visibility into any money exchanged between Clients and Providers for services.

While we work to keep the platform safe — including reviewing reported ads and taking action against policy violations — Latqo cannot guarantee that every listing on the platform is accurate, legitimate, or free from risk. Users are encouraged to exercise their own judgement and report anything suspicious.

11. Disputes

Disputes between Clients and Providers — including disputes about the quality of services or payment for those services — are solely between those parties. Because service payments happen entirely outside Latqo, we do not adjudicate, mediate, or take responsibility for resolving financial disputes between Clients and Providers.

Latqo may review platform activity, ad listings, and quote history if we receive a report of suspicious, abusive, or policy-violating behaviour. Where appropriate, we may suspend or remove accounts and content. For billing disputes with Latqo directly, please contact our support team and we will work in good faith to reach a resolution.

12. Termination

Latqo reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at any time, without prior notice, if you violate these Terms, the Acceptable Use Policy, or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to the platform or its users. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

Termination of your account does not entitle you to a refund of subscription fees or other charges already processed. Please refer to our Refund Policy for details.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of South Africa. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate South African courts.

14. Contact

If you have questions about these Terms or need help with your account, please reach out through the support section of the app or via our help centre.
